This historic Palace
property was the former palace residence of the Maharajas. Set
amidst sprawling acres of majestic gardens, it overlooks the
city's main lake 'The Dal Lake' and is ringed by the Himalayan
mountain ranges. The 125 room twin storey hotel, located 15 kms
from the airport, is adjacent to the Governor's house and just
minutes from the city's other historic attractions like
Shankaracharya Temple, Nishat & Shalimar Gardens, Chashmashahi
and more. Most Government Offices, Banks and other commercial
areas are also within close proximity.
Adjoining to the Palace are two international standard Golf
courses, a 9-hole and new 18-hole which is spread out on 150
acres.
Originally built in 1910 AD, for the then Maharajas, this
heritage Palace hotel has been carefully restored to its former
glory, and is today a fully facility destination.
